Tracking Moses’ “New” Covenant

Words of Moses Words of Jeremiah
Current Covenant
Deuteronomy 4:9 Jeremiah 9:24
[9] “Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children— but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD.”
Deuteronomy 10:12-18 Jeremiah
[12] “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, [13] and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I am commanding you today for your good? [14] Behold, to the LORD your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it. [15] Yet the LORD set his heart in love on your fathers and chose their offspring after them, you above all peoples, as you are this day. [16] Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stubborn. [17] For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. [18] He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing. Jeremiah never once mentions the admonition to: love the LORD.  Which is the entire basis of the Mosaic Moab convenant.
Jeremiah never once contains the admonition to fear the Lord.
Jeremiah never once contains the admonition to serve the Lord.
Jeremiah never mentions the admonition of justice for the fatherless, the widow or the sojourner.

But:
Jeremiah 4:4
[4] Circumcise yourselves to the LORD;
remove the foreskin of your hearts,
O men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem;
lest my wrath go forth like fire,
and burn with none to quench it,
because of the evil of your deeds.”

Will Be Exiled to Foreign Nations and Return
Deuteronomy 28:63-64 (Curse)
[63] This is what will happen: Just as the LORD delighted to do good for you and make you numerous, he69 will take delight in destroying and decimating you. You will be uprooted from the land you are about to possess. [64] The LORD will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods of wood and stone. Jeremiah 31:10
[10] “Hear the word of the LORD, O nations,
and declare it in the coastlands far away;
say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him,
and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.’

Jeremiah 32:36-37
[36] “Now therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say, ‘It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword, by famine, and by pestilence’: [37] Behold, I will gather them from all the countries to which I drove them in my anger and my wrath and in great indignation. I will bring them back to this place, and I will make them dwell in safety.

Deuteronomy 30:2 Jeremiah 30:3
[2] Then if you and your descendants3 turn to the LORD your God and obey him with your whole mind and being4 just as5 I am commanding you today, [3] the LORD your God will reverse your captivity and have pity on you. He will turn and gather you from all the peoples among whom he6 has scattered you.  [3] For behold, days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will restore the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the LORD, and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall take possession of it.”
Prophecy of the New Covenant in Which God Will Change His Peoples’ Heart
Deuteronomy 29:1 Jeremiah 31:31-32
These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside (or in addition to) the covenant which he made with them in Horeb. [31] “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, [32] not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD. Notice here that Jeremiah’s talking about something and some time (“the days are coming”) different than the prophesied return from Babylon.
Deuteronomy 30:6-8 Jeremiah 31:33-34 Words of Ezekiel
[6] And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. [7] And the LORD your God will put all these curses on your foes and enemies who persecuted you. [8] And you shall again obey the voice of the LORD and keep all his commandments that I command you today. [33] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. [34] And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” Ezekiel 11:19
[19] I will give them one heart and I will put a new spirit within them; I will remove the hearts of stone from their bodies and I will give them tender hearts, [20] so that they may follow my statutes and observe my regulations and carry them out. Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.

Ezekiel 37:14
[14] And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the LORD.”

Ezekiel 39:29
I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel,25 declares the sovereign LORD.”

Assurance that Israel Can Live Obediently
Deuteronomy 30:11 Ezekiel 36:26-27
[11] “This commandment I am giving you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it too remote. [12] It is not in heaven, as though one must say, “Who will go up to heaven to get it for us and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” [13] And it is not across the sea, as though one must say, “Who will cross over to the other side of the sea and get it for us and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” [14] For the thing is very near you – it is in your mouth and in your mind20 so that you can do it. [26] I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone18 from your body and give you a heart of flesh.  [27] I will put my Spirit within you;20 I will take the initiative and you will obey my statutes21 and carefully observe my regulations.
Deuteronomy 28:10 Ezekiel 37:27
And all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you. [27] My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. [28] Then, when my sanctuary is among them forever, the nations will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel.’”
