His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated. Dt 32:[49] โGo up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, opposite Jericho, and view the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel for a possession. [50] And die on the mountain which you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died in Mount Hor and was gathered to his people, [51] because you broke faith with me in the midst of the people of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, and because you did not treat me as holy in the midst of the people of Israel. [52] For you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there, into the land that I am giving to the people of Israel. . . . ืืืืช . . . ืืคื ืื . . . . . . ืื |
| Dt 28:43 | The stranger who is within you will get up very high above you; and you will come down very low. He will lend to you, and thou shalt not lend to him. God will make you perish, and will consume you from off the face of the land, wherever you may go-forth to possess. | The stranger in your midst will ascend higher above, and you will descend lower beneath. He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. Elohim will cause you to perish, and He will destroy you from upon the face of the ground that you are to enter there to posses it.โ | [43] The sojourner who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. | Dt 33:1, 34:1 | These are the words that Moshe commanded all the children of Israel, according to the mouth of the LORD, in the plains of Moab before his death. | These are the words that Moses commanded to all of the children of Israel according to the mouth of Jehovah in the plains of Moab before his death. | [33:1] This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the people of Israel before his death. [34:1] Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. [1] There is an interesting challenge in interpreting this paleo-Hebrew term. Ginsburg transliterated the term as 6880. ืฆึดืจึฐืขึธื sฬฃir`aฬhย — “hornets”.ย Nichols reads the paleo slightly differently seeing 6883. ืฆึทืจึฐืขึทืช sฬฃar`atฬฑ — “leprosy”.ย Both share a common root.
