Dt 1:1	These be the words which Moses spake according to the mouth of Jehovah unto all the children of Israel in the wilderness beyond the Jordan in the plain.	These are the words that Moses spoke, according to the mouth of Jehovah, to all the children of Israel in the wilderness, across the Jordan in the Aravah. Dt 1:6	God our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount.	Elohim our Elohim spoke to us in Horeb, saying, “You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.	[6] “The LORD our God said to us in Horeb, ‘You have stayed long enough at this mountain.	אלהם אלהנו דבר אלנו בחרב לאמר . רב לכם שבת בהר הזה
Dt 1:7	Turn you and take your journey and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh there unto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and by the seaside.	Turn and set out for yourselves, and go to the hill country of the Amorites, and to all the inhabited places in the Aravah, in the mountains, and in the foothills, and at the coast of the sea.”	[7] Turn and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland and in the Negeb and by the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.	פנו וסעו לכם ובאו הר האמרי ואל כל שכנו בערבה בהר ובשפלה ובחף הים
Dt 1:19	And when we departed from Horeb we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw; and we came to Kadesh-Barnea.	And we set out from Horeb, and we walked all that great and fearful wilderness that you saw, and we came to Kadesh-Barnea.	[19] “Then we set out from Horeb and went through all that great and terrifying wilderness that you saw, on the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us. Dt 1:20	And I said unto you, Ye are come this day unto the mountain of the Amorites. Go ye up and possess ye the land, as said [unto thee the God of thy fathers.]	And I said unto you, “You have come today to the hill country of the Amorites. Go up and possess the land as He spoke unto you.”	[20] And I said to you, ‘You have come to the hill country of the Amorites, which the LORD our God is giving us.	ואמר אלכם באתם היום[l] עד הר האמרי עלו ורשו את הארץ כאשר דבר . . . אבתם
Dt 1:27	[Notwithstanding] ye would [not] go up. And ye murmured and said, Because [God] hated us … to cause us to perish.	[But] you were [un]willing to go up, and you murmured, and you said, “In hatred of [us], to exterminate us…”	[27] And you murmured in your tents and said, ‘Because the LORD hated us he has brought us out of the land of Egypt, to give us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.	לעלות ותרגנו ותאמרו בשנא . . . לאבדנו
Dt 1:34–36	And God was angry[m] [and sware] saying, As I live, surely all the people that saw my wonders and my signs which I have done these ten times … not … they have not hearkened unto my voice, they shall not see that good land which I sware to give unto their fathers, save your children and Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun which standeth before thee, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it.	And Elohim was angered, and He swore, saying, “As I live, [ ] surely all the people who have seen my signs and my wonders that I did these ten times, since they have not listened to my voice, they will not see the good land that I swore to give to their fathers, except their little ones, and Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun who stands before you. They will go there and I will give it to them.	[34] “And the LORD heard your words and was angered, and he swore, [35] ‘Not one of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land that I swore to give to your fathers, [36] except Caleb the son of Jephunneh. Dt 1:40	But as for you, turn you and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea, until all the generation of the men of rebellion shall be wasted out from among the host.	But you, turn for yourselves and set out toward the wilderness in the direction of the Sea of Reeds, until the entire generation of the men of the rebellion have completely died off from the midst of the camp.”	[40] But as for you, turn, and journey into the wilderness in the direction of the Red Sea.’	ואתם פנו לכם וסעו המדברה דרך ים סף עד תם כל הדר אנשי המרבה מקרב המחנה
Dt 1:46, 2:4	[And they abode] in Kadesh-Barnea until the men of rebellion were wasted out by death from amongst the host. … Ye are to pass over this day the coast of the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir.	And you dwelled in Kadesh-barnea until the men of the rebellion had completely died off from the midst of the camp…“You are crossing today a border of the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir.	[46] So you remained at Kadesh many days, the days that you remained there. [4] and command the people, “You are about to pass through the territory of your brothers, the people of Esau, who live in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. Dt 2:5	Thou shalt not distress them, nor meddle with them in war, for I will not give you of their land any possession, because I have given it unto the children of Esau for a possession.	Do not harass them, and do not strive against them in battle, because I did not give a possession to you from their land, because it was given as a possession to the sons of Esau.”	[5] Do not contend with them, for I will not give you any of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau as a possession.	לא [תצר]ם ולא תתגר בם מלחמה כי לא אתן מארצם לכם ירשה כי לבני עשו נתתה ירשה
Dt 2:12	The Horim from of old[n] dwelt therein, and the children of Esau succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead.	The Horites dwelled in it from antiquity, but the children of Esau dispossessed them and they dwelled in their stead.	[12] The Horites also lived in Seir formerly, but the people of Esau dispossessed them and destroyed them from before them and settled in their place, as Israel did to the land of their possession, which the LORD gave to them.)	החרם מעלם[n] ישבה[o] בה ובני עשו ירשם וישבו תחתם
Dt 2:8–9	And we turned and passed the wilderness of Moab. And God said unto me, Ye shall pass over this day the coast of Moab, ye shall not distress them, nor meddle with them in war, for I will not give you of their land any possession, because I have given unto the children of Lot the city for a possession.	And we turned and we passed the wilderness of Moab, and Elohim said to me, “You are passing today a border of Moab. Do not harass them and do not strive against them in battle because I did not give to you a possession from their land, because I gave to the children of Lot the possession of Ar.”	[8] So we went on, away from our brothers, the people of Esau, who live in Seir, away from the Arabah road from Elath and Ezion-geber. [9] And the LORD said to me, ‘Do not harass Moab or contend with them in battle, for I will not give you any of their land for a possession, because I have given Ar to the people of Lot for a possession.’	ונפן ונעבר את מדבר מאב . ויאמר אלהם אלי אתם עברם היום את גבל מאב לא תצרם ולא תתגר בם מלחמה כי לא אתן מארצם לכם ירשה כי לבני לט נתתי ער ירשה
Dt 2:10	The giants dwelt therein from of old,[n] and the Moabites called them Amim, but God destroyed them, and they dwelt in their stead.	Rephaim dwelled in it from antiquity, and the Moabites call them Emim, and Elohim destroyed them, and they dwelled in their stead.	[10] ( The Emim formerly lived there, a people great and many, and tall as the Anakim.	רפאם מעלם[n] ישבו בה והמאבם יקראו להם אמם וישמדם אלהם וישבו תחתם
Dt 2:13, 17–19	And we turned and passed the brook Zered. And God said unto me [saying], Rise ye up and pass over the river Arnon.	And we turned, and we crossed the Wadi Zered, and Elohim spoke unto me, saying, “Arise and cross the Wadi Arnon.	2:[13] ‘Now rise up and go over the brook Zered.’ So we went over the brook Zered. [17] the LORD said to me, [18] ‘Today you are to cross the border of Moab at Ar. [19] And when you approach the territory of the people of Ammon, do not harass them or contend with them, for I will not give you any of the land of the people of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot for a possession.’	ונפן ונעבר את נחל זרד ויאמר אלהם אלי לאמר קמו ועברו את נחל ארנן
Dt 2:24	This day will I begin to deliver to thy face Sihon the Amorite, King of Heshbon, and his land.	Today I have begun to give before you Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land.	[24] ‘Rise up, set out on your journey and go over the Valley of the Arnon. Behold, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession, and contend with him in battle.	היום החלתי לתת לפנך את סיחן[p] מלך חשבן האמרי ואת ארצו
Dt 2:32–33	And we went forth against Sihon[p] to Jahaz, and we smote him till we left him none to remain.	And we went out to meet Sihon near Jahaz, and we smote him until no survivor remained to him.	[32] Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Jahaz. [33] And the LORD our God gave him over to us, and we defeated him and his sons and all his people.	ונצא לקראת סיחן[p] יהצה ונכה עד לא השאר לי שרד
Dt 2:34–36	And we took all his cities from Aroer, which is by the brink of the river Arnon, unto Gilead, and unto the brook Jabbok	And we captured all of his cities from Aroer, which is on the rim of the Wadi Arnon, unto the Gilead, and unto the Wadi Jabbok	[34] And we captured all his cities at that time and devoted to destruction every city, men, women, and children. We left no survivors. [35] Only the livestock we took as spoil for ourselves, with the plunder of the cities that we captured. [36] From Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and from the city that is in the valley, as far as Gilead, there was not a city too high for us. The LORD our God gave all into our hands.	[q]ונלכד את כל ערו מערער אשר על שפת נחל ארנן עד הגלעד ועד נחל יבק
Dt 2:36	God our God delivered all unto us.	– the entirety Elohim gave before us.	[36] From Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and from the city that is in the valley, as far as Gilead, there was not a city too high for us. The LORD our God gave all into our hands.	הכל נתן אלהם אלהנו לפננו
Dt 2:37	Then we turned and went up the way of the brook Jabbok.	And we turned and we crossed in the direction of the Wadi Jabbok	[37] Only to the land of the sons of Ammon you did not draw near, that is, to all the banks of the river Jabbok and the cities of the hill country, whatever the LORD our God had forbidden us.	ונפן ונעבר דרך נחל יבק
Dt 2:37	And God said unto me, saying, Ye are to pass this day the coast of the land of the children of Ammon.	and Elohim, our Elohim, spoke unto me saying, “You are crossing today a border of the land of the children of Ammon. Dt 2:19	Ye shall not distress them nor meddle with them in war, because I have given unto the children of Lot the land of the children of Ammon for a possession. Dt 2:20	The giants dwelt therein from of old,[n] and the Ammonites called them Azam-zummim,[r] but God destroyed them before them, and they dwelt in their stead.	Rephaim dwelled in it from antiquity, and the Ammonites call them Azamzumim, and Elohim destroyed them from before their faces, and they dwelled in their stead.	[20] (It is also counted as a land of Rephaim. Rephaim formerly lived there—but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim—	רפאם מעלם[n] ישבו בה והעמנם יקראו להם עזמזמם[r] וישמ[ד]ם אלהם מפנהם וישבו תחתם
Numbers 21:32	And God said unto me, send men to spy out Jaazer, and we took Jaazer and dwelt in the cities of the Amorites.	And Elohim said to me, “Send men to scout out Jazer.” And we captured Jazer and we dwelled in the Amorite cities.	[32] And Moses sent to spy out Jazer, and they captured its villages and dispossessed the Amorites who were there.	ויאמר אלהם אלי שלח אנשם לרגל את יעזר ונלכד [את] יעזר ונשב בערי האמרי
Dt 3:1	And Og, the King of Bashan, went out against us to the battle, and we smote him until none was left to him remaining, and we took from him threescore cities, all the region of the Argob, cities fenced with walls, gates, and bars beside unwalled towns a great many.	And Og, the king of Bashan, went forth to meet us for battle, and we smote him until no survivor remained to him. And we captured sixty cities from them – the entire region of the Argob, fortified with walls, doors, and bars	[3:1] “Then we turned and went up the way to Bashan. And Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.	ויצא עג מלך הבשן לקראתנו[s] למלחמה ונכהו עד לא השאר לו שרד ונלכד מאתם ששם עד כל כבל[t] הארגב בצרת חמה דלתם וברחם לבד מערי הפרזם הרבה מאד
Dt 3:2–4	And all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan unto Salchah and Edrei, [which was also called] the land of the giants, for Og, King of Bashan, remained of the remnant of the giants.	, and all of the Gilead, and all of the Bashan unto Salecah and Edrei. It also was Rephaim land because Og, king of the Bashan, remained as a remnant of the Rephaim.	[2] But the LORD said to me, ‘Do not fear him, for I have given him and all his people and his land into your hand. And you shall do to him as you did to Sihon the king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.’ [3] So the LORD our God gave into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people, and we struck him down until he had no survivor left. [4] And we took all his cities at that time—there was not a city that we did not take from them—sixty cities, the whole region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.	וכל ערי המשאר וכל הגלעד וכל הבשן עד סלכה ואדרעי . . . ארץ רפאם . . . גם הוא כי עג מלך הבשן מיתר הרפאם נשאר
Dt 3:29	And we turned and journeyed southward and abode over against Beth Peor.	And we turned and we set out toward the Negev, and we dwelled in front of Beth-Peor.	[29] So we remained in the valley opposite Beth-peor.	ונפן ונסע נגבה ונשב מול בת פער
Numbers 25	And at that time of the daughters of Moab and the wives of the Midianites came out against you, and they called out to you to eat of their sacrifices, and ye did eat of their sacrifices and drank of their drink-offerings, and ye bowed down to their gods and committed whoredom with the wives of the Midianites, and ye joined yourselves to Baal-peor on that day.	And the daughters of Moab went forth at that time, and the women of Midian to meet you, and they called to you to eat from their sacrifices, and you drank from their libations, and you bowed to their gods, and you whored with the Midianite women, and you were joined to Baal-peor in that day.	[25:1] While Israel lived in Shittim, the people began to whore with the daughters of Moab. [2] These invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. [3] So Israel yoked himself to Baal of Peor.	ויצאו בעת ההוא בנת מאב ונשי מדין לקראתם ותקראן [ל]כם לאכל מזבחהן[u] ותאלו[v] מזבחהן ותשתו מנסחהן[w] ותשתחו לאלההן ותזנו את נשי המדנים ותצמדו לבעל פער ביום ההוא
	And the anger of God was kindled against you, and He smote you at that time with a great plague.	And the anger of Elohim burned upon you, and He plagued a great plague against you at that time.	And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.	וחרה אף אלהם עלכם ויגף בכם בעת ההוא מגפה גדלה
	And I sent from among you men to fight the Midianites, and ye smote them with the edge of the sword, and ye took from them captives very many, and the plague was stayed.	And I sent men from you to battle the Midianites, and you smote them with the edge of the sword, and you captured from them very many captives, and the plague was restrained.	[7] When Phinehas the son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose and left the congregation and took a spear in his hand [8] and went after the man of Israel into the chamber and pierced both of them, the man of Israel and the woman through her belly. Thus the plague on the people of Israel was stopped.	ושלחתי מכם אנשים ללחם את המדנים והכתם אתם לפי חרב ושבתם מאתם שבי הרבה[x] למאד ותעצר המגפה
Dt 4:1	And God commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgements that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.	And Elohim commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments to do them in the land that you are crossing there to possess it.	[4:1] “And now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the rules that I am teaching you, and do them, that you may live, and go in and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you.	ואתי צוה אלהם בעת ההוא ללמד אתכם חקם ומשפטם לעשתם בארץ אשר עברם[y] שמה לרשתה
Dt 4:2	Take heed unto yourselves, ye shall not add to my statutes nor diminish therefrom.	Guard yourselves. You shall not add to His command and you shall not diminish from it.	[2] You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you.	השמרו לכם לא תספו אל מצותו ולא תגרעו ממנו.
Dt 4:23, Dt 5:8	Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget, and make you a graven image and similitude, the likeness of any figure which is in heaven above or on the [earth be]neath or in the waters under the earth,	Guard yourselves, lest you forget and you make a carved thing for yourselves, or a formed thing, a shape of any figurine, which is in the heavens above, or which is on the earth below, or which is in the waters under the earth	4:[23] Take care, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make a carved image, the form of anything that the LORD your God has forbidden you. 5:[8] “‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.	השמרו לכם פן תשכחו ועשתם לכם פסל ותמנה תבנת כל סמל אשר בשמם ממעל וא[שר בארץ מ]תחת ואשר במים מתחת לארץ
	and His anger be kindled against you, and He destroy you speedily from this good land.	, and His anger burn against you and He destroy you quickly from that good land.		וחרה אפי בכם והש[מדתי את]כם מהרה מן הארץ הטבה הזאת.
Dt 5:33	So know this day, and keep his statutes and his commands, that it may go well with you and that you may prolong your days upon the earth whom God, thy God gives to you.	And you shall know today, and you shall guard His statutes and His commandments for the sake of your good and for lengthening days upon the land which Elohim your Elohim gives to you.	[33] You shall walk in all the way that the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.	וידע . . . היום ו[שמ]רת את חקתו ומצותו למען יטב לכם [ולמען] תארכו ימם על האדמה אשר אלהם אלהך נתן לכם
Dt 6:4–5	Hear, O Israel, God our God is one God, [and thou shalt love] God thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul exceedingly.	Hear, O Israel, Elohim our Elohim, Elohim is one, and you shall love Elohim your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul – very exceedingly.	[4] “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. [5] You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.	שמע ישראל אלהם אלהנו אלהם אחר ואהבת את אלהם אלהך בכל לבבך ובכל נפשך למאד מאד
Dt 6:6–7	And these words which I command thee this day shall be in thy heart, and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and thou shalt talk with them when thou sittest in the house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, (and)[z] when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.	And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be upon your heart and taught incisively to your children. And you shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and as you walk along the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.	[6] And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. [7] You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.	והיו הדברם האלה אשר אנך מצוך היום על לבבך ושננתם לבנך ודברת אתם בשבתך בבתך ובלכתך בדרך (ו)בשכבך[z] ובקמך
Dt 6:8–9	And thou shalt bind [them] for a sign upon thine hand, they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes, and thou shalt write [them] upon the posts of thy house and on the thy gates.	And you shall bind for a sign upon your hand, and they will be as bands between your eyes, and you shall write them on the doorframes of you house and your gates	[8] You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. [9] You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.	וקשרתם אתם לאות על ידך והיו לתתהות[aa] בין עינך וכתב[תם] על מזזת בתך ושערך
Dt 5:2–5	For God made a covenant with thee in Horeb in the day of the assembly, and I stood between God and between you … at that time, for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and [went] not [up] … to show you the word of your God, saying–	, because Elohim made a covenant with you in Horeb on the day of assembly. And I, I stood between Elohim and you at that time because you were awestruck by the face of the fire and [you did] not [go up], to declare the word of Elohim to you, saying,	[2] The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. [3] Not with our fathers did the LORD make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive today. [4] The LORD spoke with you face to face at the mountain, out of the midst of the fire, [5] while I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the LORD. For you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up into the mountain. Dt 5:6–9	I am God, thy God, who liberated you from the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Ye shall have no other God.[ae] Ye shall not make for you any hewn image, or any likeness of anything that is in the sky above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: Ye shall not bow down yourself[ae] to them, nor serve them: I am God, thy God.	I am Elohim your Elohim who liberated you from the land of Egypt, from a house of servitude. There shall not be to you other Elohim. You shall not make for yourselves a carved thing, or any formed thing that is in the heavens above, or that is on the earth below, or that is in the waters under the earth. You shall not bow down to them, and you shall not serve them. I am Elohim your Elohim.	[6] “‘I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. [7] “‘You shall have no other gods before me. [8] “‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Dt 5:13–14	In six days I made sky and earth, and all that in them is, and I rested[af] the seventh day: so you also will rest, you, and your cattle[ag] and all that you have.[ah] I am God, thy God.	Sanctify [the seventh day]. Six days I made the heavens and the earth and all that is in them, and I ceased on the seventh day. Therefore, you shall cease also, you, and your animal, and all that is yours. I am Elohim your Elohim.	[13] Six days you shall labor and do all your work, [14] but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. Dt 5:16	Honor your father and your mother (that thy days may be prolonged).[ai] I am God, thy God.	Honor your father and your mother. I am Elohim your Elohim. Dt 5:11, 9	Thou shalt not swear by my name falsely for I will visit[an] with zealous anger the iniquity of the father upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who take[ap] my name falsely. I am God, thy God.	You shall not swear by My name to deceive, because I am passionate. The iniquity of fathers will be upon children unto a third and unto a fourth generation for lifting My name to deceive. I am Elohim your Elohim.	[11] “‘You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. Dt 9:1	Hear, O Israel, ye are to pass over Jordan this day to go in to possess many nations and mighty ones, cities great and with fenced walls	Hear, O Israel! You are crossing the Jordan today to enter to dispossess strong and mighty nations, big and fortified cities with walls.	[9:1] “Hear, O Israel: you are to cross over the Jordan today, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than you, cities great and fortified up to heaven,	שמע ישראל אתם עברם היום את הירדן לבא לרשת גוים רבם ועצמם ערם גדלת ובצרת חמה
Dt 9:4	Speak not ye in your hearts, these nations are many, we cannot dispossess them, Thou shalt not be afraid of them.	Do not say in your hearts, “These are many nations, we are unable to dispossess them.” Do not be afraid of them.	[4] “Do not say in your heart, after the LORD your God has thrust them out before you, ‘It is because of my righteousness that the LORD has brought me in to possess this land,’ whereas it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD is driving them out before you.	לא תאמרו בלבבכם רבם המה הגוים האלה לא נכל להרשם לא תרא מהם
Dt 9:3	Remember what God did unto Pharaoh and unto all Egypt, so shall God do unto all thine enemies, for God it is He which goeth over thee, He is a consuming fire, He shall destroy them, and He shall bring them down before thy face quickly.	Remember what Elohim did to Pharaoh and to all of Egypt – so will Elohim do to all of your enemies. Because Elohim, He is crossing before you. He is a consuming fire. He will destroy them, and He will consume them quickly before you.	[3] Know therefore today that he who goes over before you as a consuming fire is the LORD your God. He will destroy them and subdue them before you. So you shall drive them out and make them perish quickly, as the LORD has promised you.	זכר את אשר עשה אלהם לפרעה ולכל מצרם כן יעשה אלהם לכל איבך כי אלהם הוא העבר לפנך אש אכלה הוא[as] הוא ישמדם ויכנעם מחרה לפנך
Dt 7:20	Moreover God will send the hornet among them, until they that hide themselves and are left before thee be utterly destroyed.	Moreover, Elohim will send leprosy among them until those hiding and those remaining utterly perish from before you.	[20] Moreover, the LORD your God will send hornets among them, until those who are left and hide themselves from you are destroyed.	גם את ה..צרעת ישלח אלהם בם עד אבד יאבד הנסתרם הנשארם מלפנך
	Only if ye keep his commandments and His judgements and His statutes which I command thee this day.	If you will only guard His commandments, and His judgments, and His statutes, which I am commanding you today.		רק אם תשמרו את מצותו ומשפטו וחקתו אשר אנך מצוך היום
Dt 9:6	So understand this day, that God, thy God gives not before you this land on account of your righteousness to possess it, for you have been a stiff-necked people from the day that you did depart out of Egypt until this day.	And you shall know that it is not because of your righteousness that Elohim your Elohim is giving before you this land to possess. Because you have been a stiff-necked people from the day that He brought you out of Egypt	[6] “Know, therefore, that the LORD your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stubborn people.	וידעת היום כי לא בצדקתך אלהם אלהך נתן לפנך את הארץ הזאת לרשתה כי עם קשה ערף הית[at] מן היום אשר יצאת ממצרם עד היום
Dt 9:7–10	You have been rebellious against God, thy God. In Horeb on the day when I had gone up into the mount to receive the two tablets of stone, and on them were written all the words that God spoke with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.	until today you have been rebellious [against] Elohim your Elohim. At Horeb, on the day that I went up the mountain to receive the two stone tablets – and upon them was written all of the words that Elohim spoke with you in the mount, from the midst of fire, in the day of assembly	[7] Remember and do not forget how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day you came out of the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against the LORD. [8] Even at Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, and the LORD was so angry with you that he was ready to destroy you. [9] When I went up the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant that the LORD made with you, I remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water. [10] And the LORD gave me the two tablets of stone written with the finger of God, and on them were all the words that the LORD had spoken with you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly.	ממרם היתם את אלהם אלהך . בחרב ביום עלתי ההר לקחת את שני לחת האבנם ועלהם כתבם כל הדברם אשר דבר אלהם עמכם בהר מתך האש ביום הקהל
Dt 9:16	You provoked your God to wrath, and you made you a molten calf.	– you made a molten calf for yourselves and angered Elohim.	[16] And I looked, and behold, you had sinned against the LORD your God. You had made yourselves a golden calf. You had turned aside quickly from the way that the LORD had commanded you.	קצפתם את אלהם ועשתם לכם עגל מסכה
Dt 9:15	And I fell down before God in the mount that burned with fire: and the two tablets were in my hands.	And I fell down before Elohim	[15] So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire. And the two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.	ואתנפל לפני אלהם בהר הבער כאש . . . ושני לחת בידי
Dt 9:16	And I beheld your sins, and I broke the two tablets before your eyes, and I prayed for you at the same time forty days and forty nights.	and I saw your sin, and I shattered the two tablets before your eyes. And I interceded on your account at that time, forty days and forty nights.	[16] And I looked, and behold, you had sinned against the LORD your God. You had made yourselves a golden calf. You had turned aside quickly from the way that the LORD had commanded you.	וארא חטאתכם ואשבר את שני לחת לעינכם ואתפלל בעדכם בעת ההוא ארבעם יום וארבעם ללה
Dt 9:22	And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kivroth-hattah’avah, you rebelled against your God.	And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hataavah you were rebellious against your Elohim.	[22] “At Taberah also, and at Massah and at Kibroth-hattaavah you provoked the LORD to wrath.	ובתבערה ובמסה ובקברת התאוה ממרים היתם את אלהכם
Dt 10:1	At that time God said to me, Cut out two tablets of stone like to the first, and come up to me into the mount.	At that time, Elohim said to me, “Carve two stone tablets for yourself like the first ones and ascend the mount to Me.”	[10:1] “At that time the LORD said to me, ‘Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to me on the mountain and make an ark of wood.	בעת ההוא אמר אלהם אלי פסל לך שני לחת אבנם כראשנם ועלה אלי ההרה
Dt 10:3–4	And I went up into the mount, having the two tablets in my hand. And God wrote on the tablets the Ten Words that he spoke to you in the mount in the day of the assembly. And he gave them to me, and look, they are in the ark that I had made.	And I ascended the mount, and the two tablets were in my hands. And Elohim wrote on the tablets the ten words which He spoke to you in the mount on the day of the assembly, and He gave them to me, and behold them – they are in the chest that I made.	[3] So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two tablets of stone like the first, and went up the mountain with the two tablets in my hand. [4] And he wrote on the tablets, in the same writing as before, the Ten Commandments that the LORD had spoken to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly. And the LORD gave them to me.	ואעל ההרה ושני [ה]לחת בידי. ויכתכ אלהם על הלחת את עשרת הדברם אשר דבר אלכם בהר ביום הקהל ויתנם אלי והנם בארן אשר עשיתי
Dt 9:23–25	And at Kadesh-barnea when God said to me, Go up and possess the land; you rebelled against your God and you went not up nor listened. And God said he would destroy you.	And at Kadesh-barnea, which Elohim said to me, “Go up and possess the land, “ you were rebellious against your Elohim and you did not go up, and you did not hearken to His voice. And Elohim said to me that He intended to destroy you,	[23] And when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, ‘Go up and take possession of the land that I have given you,’ then you rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God and did not believe him or obey his voice. [24] You have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you. [25] “So I lay prostrate before the LORD for these forty days and forty nights, because the LORD had said he would destroy you.	ובקדש ברנע באמר אלי אלהם עלו ורשו את הארץ ממרם היתם את אלהכם ולא עלתס ולא שמעתם בקלו ויאמר אלהם להשמדכם
Dt 9:26	So I prayed for you when I stayed in the mount forty days and forty nights. And God listened at that time also, and he did not destroy you in a moment..	but I interceded, standing on your behalf. And Elohim hearkened also that time and did not destroy you in a moment.	[26] And I prayed to the LORD, ‘O Lord GOD, do not destroy your people and your heritage, whom you have redeemed through your greatness, whom you have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.	ואתפלל בעדכם בעמד בהר ארבעם יום וארבעם ללה בעדכם וישמע אלהם גם בפעם ההוא ולא השחת אתכם כרגע
Dt 9:5–6 (see also Dt 8:18)	Not for your righteousness has your God given you power to get wealth. Only God had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even above all peoples or God, thy God is God of all gods, and Governor of governors, a mighty God, and a terrible one.	It is not because of your righteousness that your Elohim is giving to you power to do mightily. Rather, Elohim attached with your fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them from all of the peoples. Because Elohim your Elohim, He is Elohim of Elohim, and Master of masters, the mighty and awesome El.	[5] Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God is driving them out from before you, and that he may confirm the word that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. [6] “Know, therefore, that the LORD your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stubborn people.	לא בצדקתך אלהך נתן לך כח לעשת חיל . . . [רק חשק אלהם] באבתכם לאהבה אתם ויבחר בזרעם אחרהם מכל העמם [כי אלהם] אלהכם הוא אלה אלהם ואדני האדנם האל הגבר והנרא
Dt 10:21	He is your praise, and he it is who has done for you these great and terrible things. Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy souls; and now you have become a people mighty and populous.	He is your boasting, and it is He who does the great and awesome things with you. Your fathers went down to Egypt with seventy souls, and now you are a people, might and many.	[21] He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen.	הוא תהלתך והוא אשר עשה אתך את הגדלת ואת הנראת . בשבעם נפש ירדו אבתכם למצרם [ו]עתה הית לעם עצם ורב .
Dt 11:24	For if you will only keep all the commands that I command this day to do, to love your God, to walk in all his ways, and in all his statutes, then God will drive out all the men of the place, and every place upon which the soles of your feet will tread.	If you will only guard all of the commandments that I am commanding you today, to do them – to love your Elohim, to walk in all of His ways and in all of His statutes, the Elohim will dispossess all of the men of the place which the sole of your feet shall tread.	[24] Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours. Your territory shall be from the wilderness to the Lebanon and from the River, the river Euphrates, to the western sea.	כי אך [אם] תשמר[ו את] כל המצוה אשר אנך מצוה היום לעשת לאהבה את אלהכם ללכת בכל דרכו ובכל חקתו והרש אלהם את כל אנשי המקם כל אשר תדרך כף רגלכם בו
Dt 11:25	There will no man be able to stand before you; for the fear of you and the dread of you will be upon all the land that you will tread upon.	No man shall stand before you because a fear of you, and a dread of you will be upon the face of all of the land upon which you tread.	[25] No one shall be able to stand against you. The LORD your God will lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you shall tread, as he promised you.	לא יתיצב אי[ש] לפניכם כ[י פ]חדכם ומראכם יהיה על פני כל הארץ אש[ר ת]דרכו בו
Dt 11:26–28	Look, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; a blessing, if you obey my commands and my statutes, a curse, if thou shalt not obey but turn aside out of the way that I command you this day.	See, I am putting before you today a blessing and a curse. The blessing if you will listen to the commandments and statues, and a curse if you will not listen but turn from the way which I am commanding you today.	[26] “See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: [27] the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, [28] and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way that I am commanding you today, to go after other gods that you have not known.	ראה אנך נתן לפנכם היום ברכה וקללה את הברכה אם תשמעו אל מצות[י וחקתי] והקללה אם לא תשמעו וסרתם מהדרך אשר אנך מצוה אתכם היום
Dt 11:29–30	And it will come to pass, when God has brought you into the land where you go to possess it, that you will put the blessing upon Mount Gerizim and the curse upon Mount Eyval. Are they not on the other side of the Yarden, by the way where the sun goes down, in the land of the Kena’anim, over against Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?	And it will be that when Elohim brings you into the land which you are going there to possess, you will give the blessing on Mount [Gerizim] and the curse on Mount Ebal. Are they not across the Jordan in the direction of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites, opposite Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?	[29] And when the LORD your God brings you into the land that you are entering to take possession of it, you shall set the blessing on Mount Gerizim and the curse on Mount Ebal. [30] Are they not beyond the Jordan, west of the road, toward the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah, opposite Gilgal, beside the oak of Moreh?	ן[היה כי י]באך אלהם אל הארץ אשר אתה בא שמה לרשתה ונתת את הברכה על הר [גרזם] והקללה על הר עבל הלא [המה] בעבר הירדן דרך מבא השמש בארץ הכנעני [נג]ד גלגל אצל אלני מרא
Dt 27:12–13	And these will stand upon Mount Eyval; Reuben, Zebulun and Gad, Asher, Dan and Naphtali. And these will stand upon Mount Gerizim; Simeon, and Judah, and Issachar, Manasseh and Ephraim and Benjamin.	And these will stand on Mount [Ebal]: Reuben, Zebulon, and Gad, Asher, Dan, and Naphtali. And these will stand on Mount Gerizim: Simeon, and Judah, and Issachar, Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Benjamin.	[12] “When you have crossed over the Jordan, these shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin. [13] And these shall stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.	ואלה יעמדו על ה[ר עבל] ראובן זבולן [ו]גד אשר דן ונפתלי . ואלה יעמדו על הר גרזם שמען ויהודה ושכר מנשה ואפרם ובנימין
Dt 27:14	And the Levites will stand before Mount Gerizim and will speak, and say with a loud voice:	And the Levites will stand opposite of Mount Gerizim and they will respond, and they will say in an exalted voice:	[14] And the Levites shall declare to all the men of Israel in a loud voice:	ועמדו הלוים נגד הר גרזם ו[ענ]ו ואמרו בקל רם
	Blessed be the man who loves God, thy God and bows down to him only and serves him only. And all the people will answer and say, Amen. Blessed be the man who consecrates the seventh day and rests thereon. And all the people will answer and say, Amen.	“Blessed is the man who loves Elohim his Elohim and worships Him alone, and serves Him alone.” And all of the people, they will respond and they will say, “Amen”. “Blessed is the man who sanctifies the seventh day and ceases thereon.” And all of the people, they will respond and they will say, “Amen”.		ברך האיש אשר יאהב אלהם אלהנו ולו לבדו ישתחו ואתו לבדו יעבר וענו כל הע[ם] ואמרו אמן. ברך הא[יש אשר יקדש את י]ום השבעי וישבת בו ויענו כל העם ואמרו אמן
	Blessed be the man who honors his father and his mother. And all the people will answer and say, Amen. Blessed be the man who avenges not nor bears any grudge against the soul of his brother. And all the people will answer and say, Amen. Blessed be the man who defiles not the wife of his neighbor. And all the people will answer and say, Amen.	“Blessed is the man who honors his father and his mother.” And all of the people, they will respond and they will say, “Amen”. “Blessed is the man who does not take vengeance and does not hold a grudge against his brother’s soul.” And they will respond, “Amen”. “Blessed is the man who does not defile his neighbor’s woman.” And all of the people, they will respond and they will say, “Amen”.	Deuteronomy lacks these recitations of the blessings Israel will receive for complying with the commandment.	ברך האיש מכבד אבו ואמו וענו כל העם ואמרו אמן ברך [ה]איש אשר לא יקם ולא יטר את נפש אחו וענו אמן . ברך האיש אשר לא יטמא את אשת רעהו וענו כל העם ואמרו אמן
	Blessed be the man who sets not his eye upon his neighbor’s goods. And all the people will answer and say, Amen. Blessed be the man who loves his neighbor. And all the people will answer and say, Amen. Blessed be the man who confirms all the words of this Law to do them. And all the people will answer and say, Amen.	“Blessed is the man who does not lift his eyes toward the property of his neighbor.” And all of the people, they will respond and they will say, “Amen”. “Blessed is the man who loves his neighbor. And all of the people, they will respond and they will say, “Amen”. “Blessed is the man who establishes all of the words of this Teaching to do them.” And all of the people, they will respond and they will say, “Amen”.		ברך [האיש] אשר לא נשא עינו אל ח[ר]כש רעהו וענו כל העם ואמרו אמן . ברך האיש אשר יאהב את רעהו [וענו] כל העם ואמרו אמן ברך האיש אשר יקם את כל דברי התרה ה[זאת ל]עשת [א]תם וענו כל העם אמן
Dt 28:3	And you will answer further and say with a loud voice. Look, if you will hearken diligently to the voice of your God, to observe and to do all his commands, then all these blessings will come upon you. Blessed will you be in the city, and blessed will you be in the field.	And the Levites, they will continue, and they will respond, and they will say in an exalted voice, “See, if you will diligently listen to your Elohim’s voice, to guard to do all of His commandments, then all of these blessings will come upon you. You will be blessed in the city. You will be blessed in the field.	[3] Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.	ויספו הלוים ויענו [ויאמרו ב]קל רם ראה אם שמע תשמע בקל אלהך לשמר לעש[ת א]ת כל מצותו ובאו עלך כל הברכת האלה ברך אתה בער ברך אתה בשדה
Dt 28:4–6	Blessed will be your basket and your store. Blessed will be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your kin and the flocks of your sheep. Blessed will you be when you come in, and blessed will you be when you go out.	Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. The fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, the offspring of your herds and the young of your flock will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in, and you will be blessed when you go out.	[4] Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. [5] Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. [6] Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.	ברך טנאך ושארתך ברך פרי בטנך ופרי אדמתך שגר [א]לפך ועשתרת צאנך ברך אתה בבאך וברך אתה בצאתך
Dt 28:7–9	Your God will cause your enemies to be smitten before your face. God will command the blessing upon all the works of your hand. God will establish you a people set-apart to himself. And all the people of the earth will see and will be afraid of you.	Your Elohim will give you your enemies, smiting them before you. Elohim will command the blessing in all that your hands do. Elohim will establish you as a sanctified people for Himself, and all of the people of the earth will see it and they will be in awe of you.	[7] “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. [8] The LORD will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you. [9] The LORD will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in his ways.	יתן אלהך את איבך נגפם לפנך יצו אלהם את הברכה בכל מעשה ידך יקמך אלהם לו לעם קדש וראו כל עמי הארץ ויראו ממך
Dt 28:12	God will open to you your sky to give the rain to your land in his season; and you will lend to many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And you will be above, and thou shalt not be beneath …	And Elohim will open the heavens for you to give your land rain in its time, and you will lend to many nations but you will not borrow. You will be above, but you will not be beneath.”…	[12] The LORD will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. Elohim will send the curses against all of the work of your hands. Elohim will make you for a horror, a proverb and an insult among all of the pople of the earth. Elohim will restrain the heavens.	[37] And you shall become a horror, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where the LORD will lead you away. [38] You shall carry much seed into the field and shall gather in little, for the locust shall consume it. [39] You shall plant vineyards and dress them, but you shall neither drink of the wine nor gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them. Dt 34:7, 32:49-52	I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out come in before you. And God said to me, thou shalt not go over this Yarden. Joshua, who stands before you, he will go over Yarden, and he will come with you to the good land where you go to possess. Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid: for God, thy God he is the one who goes before you.	I am 120 years old today. I am unable to go out or to come in before you, and Elohim has said to me, “you shall not cross the Jordan.” Joshua, who stands before you, he, he will cross the Jordan, and he will go with you into the good land that [you are to enter] there to possess it. Be strong and courageous. Do not fear and do not be dismayed because Elohim your Elohim, He will go before you. [ ]	[7] Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated. Dt 32:[49] “Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, opposite Jericho, and view the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel for a possession. [50] And die on the mountain which you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died in Mount Hor and was gathered to his people, [51] because you broke faith with me in the midst of the people of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, and because you did not treat me as holy in the midst of the people of Israel. Dt 28:43	The stranger who is within you will get up very high above you; and you will come down very low. He will lend to you, and thou shalt not lend to him. God will make you perish, and will consume you from off the face of the land, wherever you may go-forth to possess.	The stranger in your midst will ascend higher above, and you will descend lower beneath. He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. Elohim will cause you to perish, and He will destroy you from upon the face of the ground that you are to enter there to posses it.”	[43] The sojourner who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. [44] He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him. Dt 33:1, 34:1	These are the words that Moshe commanded all the children of Israel, according to the mouth of the LORD, in the plains of Moab before his death.
